The new Osmo Pocket, on the other hand, hits that band of users, with very compact dimensions, practically pocketable. It can be seen as an action room with integrated gimbal.
Osmo Pocket can be easily connected to your smartphone via the connector, or via Bluetooth. In both cases it is then used detached from the terminal and the connection (that Bluetooth requires the connection of the appropriate accessory) is used for synchronizing files, videos and photos, but also to record directly stories for Instagram, Facebook and other social media. For this operation the new app DJI MIMO also offers the possibility to make short mounts.
With a 1/2.3” sensor can take 12 megapixel images: it is probably the same used on the Mavic 2 Zoom drone. Osmo Pocket can record 4K videos at 60 fps and using the swivel head take panoramic photos at 180° and 360° degrees. Always exploiting the cardanic head can resume automated motion lapse, as already happened on the products of the same family, making it really simple and within reach of all a very complex operation. As already seen on the other Osmos, on Ronin and drones, the active track function always keeps the subject at the center of the picture.
At the base has a USB Type-C connector for charging. Among the accessories we find a control wheel, but also a selfie rod that allows to take from above. Very interesting waterproof case up to sixty meters deep, but also the adapter for external microphones on 3.5mm jack. Adapters are available to mount the gimbal on helmets and action camera accessories, but also a case with integrated power banks and ND filters for shooting with plenty of light.
