70-300mm F4.5-6.3 is the first Tamron telephoto zoom with focal length 300 mm for mirrorless cameras with full frame sensor. The new tele zoom not only offers an exceptionally high image quality, but is also the 70-300 mm lens of its most compact and lighter category in the world thanks to a length of 148 mm, a diameter of 77 mm and a weight of only 545 grams. Its optical pattern ensures high resolution and ultra precise special lenses ensure the correction of chromatic aberrations and other optical aberrations. Regardless of the selected focal length, the images have a remarkable shine and sharpness. The high focal length is not only suitable for sports photography, wildlife and naturalistic, but also allows to exploit the prospective crushing for portraits and “street photography”.

High image quality and a beautiful bokehThe optical pattern includes 15 elements in ten groups, including a very precise LD element (Low Dispersion) for correction of longitudinal chromatic aberrations and other typical optical errors that frequently occur with tele focal lengths. The result is of all respect: even at 300 mm the resolution is very high up to the corners of the image. Another feature of this tele zoom is the pleasant bokeh effect, with the perfectly sharp main subject that stands on a wonderfully soft background. |
Rapid autofocus with RXD technologyThe autofocus is based on an extraordinarily silent RXD (Rapid eXtrasilent stepping Drive) step-by-step motor and also has a sensor that constantly determines the current setting of the focus of the lens. This ensures fast and precise automatic focus, reliable even when fast moving subjects are being pursued. As a result, it is possible to make sharp telephoto shots by photographing freely in dynamic situations. The autofocus is also very quiet, so there is no risk of recording the annoying noise of focus during video shooting. |
