Description

The image is of great quality throughout the zoom range and focus settings. Two aspherical lenses, of which an XA (extreme aspherical), guarantee a high resolution of the entire frame. Two ED glasses, two Super ED glasses and aspherical ED glass, reduce chromatic aberration and the Sony Nano AR II coating eliminates reflections and ghosts. Advanced teleconvertitors are also available: 1,4 × and 2 ×2.

The wonderful bokeh effect of G Master includes an advanced optical design, an F2.8 aperture and a new 11-lamelle diaphragm unit. Working with a precision of 0.01 micrometers, the XA lens prevents the "strated" bokeh and the new opening group provides a natural circular appearance. The bokeh is also beautiful on short distance photos, from 0.4 meters to 70 mm and from 0,82 meters to 200 mm.

Four Sony XD linear motors (extreme dynamic) generate a great power, thanks to which the AF system works up to 4 times3 faster than the previous model4. For example, if the target is used to track an incoming speeder, tracking performance is 30% faster than zoom5 compared to the previous model4, then chances of a successful shot increase significantly.

The telezoom 70-200 mm F2.8 stands out for the quality of the optical and the AF system. XD linear motors and magnesium alloy tube elements reduce overall weight to 1.045 grams - 29% compared to the previous model. Thanks to the advanced construction, the lens is better balanced and has a constant tube length. This increases portability and practicality of use.
