The same content may seem different depending on the TV display technology in use. OLED TVs have millions of self-illuminating pixels that can turn on and off to achieve an infinite contrast and a perfect black level. LED and Mini-LED TVs use back-light types that are not self-emission. This means that I am not able to create a perfect black, and can also present the “alone” effect. Self-illuminating pixels do not have this problem – there are no light spills and therefore there is no halo. The result? A flawless black and a better image quality.
